albums i listened to all the way through
posted this week and every week (4)
*For the week of February 16th-February 22nd, 2025*
This week was strange and chaotic. I spent half of it sick as a dog, then devoted the rest of it catching up on my 9-5 and writing the latest issue of The Zine-O-Sphere. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a ton of time to listen to full length albums. I only got through four of them in my limited free time.
Thanks to Thomas Morra for the Dead Gowns recommendation and Kevin Alexander for the Yo La Tengo revisit!
Here are the albums I listened to all the way through:
Needle in the Hay (1995) by Elliott Smith**
It’s Summer, I Love You, and I’m Surrounded by Snow (2025) by Dead Gowns~
Mythopoetics (2021) by Half Waif**
And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out (2000) by Yo La Tengo~**

Thank you for the shout! I hope you liked the YLT record. Still can't wrap my head around the idea that it's 25. No spoilers, but I'll have some more words on the band coming this Weds. if you're interested.
Glad to be of service! Genevieve and Dead Gowns will be at Union Pool in Brooklyn on 3/5. You should go. They’re amazing live.
